PDP Suspends Governor Because He Didn't Pick Call

                                 Alhaji Bamanga Tukur

How will you flog a child and wants to stop the child from crying? It seems this is the approach the ruling PDP is adopting against the governors who are against its move to impose a chairman on Nigeria Governors Forum, especially those who voted for Governor Rotimi Amaechi as Chairman.

While trying to justify the latest suspension of Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State, the PDP said he didn't pick calls made to him by their national chairman, Bamanga Tukur.

In a statement released in Abuja on Thursday, PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh claimed why the governor was suspended because Tukur had called to ask him
to explain his recent comments, but that he was unable to get across to the governor.

The party said he wrote a letter to Governor Wamakko but the letter was responded to by the PDP state Secretary. An act the PDP and Presidency say is an insult, hence the decision to suspend the governor.

But Governor Wamakko said he's out of the country on official trip and he's sure that the government knows that he's not on sit. A source told Brimtime.com that Wamakko will "react" on his return.
