Ice Prince has won the award for ‘Best African Act‘ at the 2013 edition of the
BET Awards.
The Chocolate City
rapper was awarded the coveted prize this evening at the BET Broadcast Centre a
few hours before the awards proper kicks off at the Nokia Theatre L.A. live in Los Angeles , California
Last year,
he lost the award to Wizkid and Sarkodie but it’s no small feat this year
beating former winner and fellow Nigerian 2face Idibia, Toya Delazy from South
Africa, Donald (South Africa), R2Bees (Ghana) and Radio and Weasel (Uganda).
Ice Prince
becomes the fourth Nigerian artiste to win the award since 2face and D’banj
jointly won it in 2011 and Wizkid in 2012.
